Insights · Golden Visa
One visa,
the family too.
A Golden Visa through property isn't only for you. The UAE government portal confirms that a Golden Visa holder can sponsor family members, including a spouse and children. On the property route, the Dubai Land Department adds parents too, with a few extra documents.
Spouse and children: yes
Sponsoring a spouse and children is listed as a benefit of the Golden Visa on the UAE's official government portal. For many buyers, this is the main reason to choose the property route.
Parents: yes, with extra documents
The Dubai Land Department's Golden Visa service for property investors says the husband or wife, children and parents can be sponsored. For parents it asks for more: a dependency certificate certified by the consulate, a birth certificate showing the relationship, and health insurance. Check the current list on the DLD page before you apply.
The property side
The investor route needs property worth AED 2 million or more, wholly owned by you, or a share that alone is worth AED 2 million. It doesn't have to be one unit: several properties can count together.
When you're ready to apply, here are the documents DLD asks for.
